Underneath the bridge
The tarp has sprung a leak
And the animals I have trapped
Have all become my pets
And I am living off of grass
And the drippings from the ceiling
Its okay to eat fish
cause they dont have any feelings.... Something in the way..
Back in the first 90's, when I was a teenager, I used to be a Huge fan of Nirvana.. Yeah, completely into the grunge scene, with long hair (now I've long dreadlocks but it's kinda different..), all dressed up like a homeless and constantly in a (self-induced & pretty fake) sad, melancholic mood..
I loved playing Nirvana, and Something in the way was one of my favourite songs..
Some years later I lost interest in Nirvana. I was mainly in different kind of rock or electronic music..
However, few days ago I said "yeah, let's listen to some Nirvana stuff again", checked iTunes and gosh! I left all my nirvana cds in Italy and there were no mp3s on my computer!
...but thanks to internet fibre channel and peer to peer nothing is impossible right ? ;)
So, yesterday I was walking and listening some tapes on my walkman (ahah, just kidding.. on the iPhone.. but "walkman" was just more grungy 90's) and the shuffle decided for Something in the way.
"Underneath the bridge..." said Kurt.. In that moment I raised my head and what I saw was just that, the lyrics were just perfect. I took a photo and here it is: underneath the bridge..
